THE STORY THUS FAR: this episode is the one right after the last one I reviewed so there’s nothing new to mention here

Turns out I didn’t have time to watch any more episodes yesterday after all. Too bad for me cause I like watching this show while breeding Pokey-mans before bed; good luck for you since now I get to review Hasegawa’s Return for y’all.

Anywho, last time Hasegawa appeared, shit happened and he ended up getting fired. Now he’s homeless, and to his credit, he doesn’t blame the Odd Jobs crew for it.

The first half of the episode focuses on Hasegawa trying to find another job, but continually getting turned down (and called a variation on DORK) because he refuses to take off his sunglasses. In the second half, he follows some surprisingly good advice from Gin and manages to land a job as a taxi driver. Naturally, he ends up fired from that job, too, and the episode ends in the exact same place it started.

I don’t really have much to say about this episode, but I enjoyed it immensely. Hasegawa is a fun character (granted, most of them are fun characters) and any episode that has Hijikata in it, no matter how briefly, is a top tier episode.

Looks like next episode is Takasugi’s intro, and judging by the tone of the preview, it seems it’ll be a Serious One.
