LAST TIME: kagura’s dad showed up, she got fired, and everyone was obsessed with a really stupid movie

In this episode, Shinpachi quits out of protest when he finds out Gin-san fired Kagura, Kagura starts to head back home with her dad, and one of Prince Idiot’s pets escapes containment and attacks the spaceship Kagura and her dad are on. Meanwhile, Gin-san and Sadaharu try to help Hasegawa attract people to see the dumb movie from the last episode by dressing in costume and putting on a skit in the street in front of the theater. Sadaharu, incidentally, looks adorable, and I want a plushie of him in his alien cosplay.

This is slightly off-topic, but isn’t Ass Hole Ketsuno Ana supposed to be a weather girl? Did she get promoted to field reporter at some point? Cause if so, good for her.

Either way, Gin-san shows up riding Sadaharu to help fight the alien, and the episode ends on a shot of Kagura lying in a pool of blood.

I’m really digging this arc. The alien is delightfully gross, the running gag with the movie is still funny, and I genuinely feel for Umibozu’s “Cats in the Cradle” angst.

Next episode is (probably?) the end of the arc. Till next time.
