First Impressions – Three in One

There were a bunch on Funimation today, so I’mma do ’em all at once because bite me.

Anime 1: Kochoki –

The boy made his own gun, that’s great, that’s totally not gonna blow up in his face.

Looks like your standard historical anime about Oda Nobunaga, but far less sexualized and more accurate than I was expecting. All around decent, and worth checking out, especially for folks who like this sort of thing. Next!

Anime 2: Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest –

This scene, which involves Girl A telling Boy A not to go with them on a terribly dangerous adventure, opens on Girl A’s cleavage! Because that doesn’t undercut or devalue her or what she has to say At All!

It’s a DnD anime, with all the fantastical elements and hypersexualization of women that you might expect. Not terrible, but not particularly great either. Next!

Anime 3: Cop Craft

It’s a cop show. It’s about cops. And fairies, aliens, and other magical/fantasy creatures, because anime can’t do anything too normal, but still. Cop show. It’s not bad.

And that’s all for today, folks. If you want a more in depth look, maybe hit up ABK or Dru. None of these particularly interested me, but there’s nothing in them to particularly avoid, outside the usual objectification.
