Pro Tip: Making a main character a rich jerk who uses their money as justification to get away with whatever they want is not a great way to garner viewer sympathy.
Millionaire Detective is about a millionaire who wakes up one day and decides to be a detective for reasons I stopped caring about two seconds after he was introduced nearly running over a child because he couldn’t be bothered to go around.
This show is pretty, and well produced, and I hate everyone in it for a variety of undoubtedly petty, yet valid reasons. It’s supposed to be a comedy, allegedly, but none of the jokes were particularly funny to me, and I spent most of the episode wanting to punch the rich dude’s smug, arrogant face every time he was on screen.
Of course, I may be biased due to certain current events being made worse due to the greed of inconsiderate dillweed billionaires, not unlike the over-baked waffle pictured above. Personally, I think they might have done better to wait a little longer to release this one. Lemme know what you think.
