Ah, yes, a ‘gamer character taught to human by pretty girl’ anime. Joy.

Yeah, that’s basically what this is. It’s a decent show, so far, and the premise isn’t bad. I’m not a big fan of Pretty Girl Main Character as a Life Coach – she’s a teenager who spends the first five minutes of their first ever IRL meet-up insulting him, despite knowing very little about him- but she seems like the type of character who could grow on you. It’s nice that they made her a gamer, too, (and a damn good one!) instead of being a complete outsider to that part of his life. It gives them a common ground beyond just being teenagers who go to the same school.
I do take issue with her insisting on him getting a girlfriend (why should a relationship be a sign of winning at life? why does it have to be a girl? he could be gay! or ace! you don’t know!), but she is still a kid, so I guess I can forgive her.
I don’t think I’ll watch more of this, but I won’t dissuade you if you want to check it out.
